Luigi’s Restaurant is one of the oldest continuously family owned and
operated restaurants in Colorado Springs! In 1958, Leo & Anne Cervetti
opened Luigi’s in a small building adjacent to a gas station on Mill St.
and Nevada. They started with a few tables and a few menu items :
spaghetti, lasagna, and pizza. They served soldiers, young families and
working class folks in the neighborhood. Luigi’s outgrew this location
and moved to its current location in 1966.
Luigi’s has served over 1.2 million dinners in our 56 years. We’ve made
over 1 million tortellacci, 1.3 million ravioli, and approximately 450,000
meatballs!
Luigi’s has over 1,200 wine bottles on our walls, all of them consumed
here! Famous people have eaten here and signed menus! Red Skelton,
Bart Star, Annika Sorenstam, Jimmy Connors, Bonnie Blair, Forrest
Gregg, and many more!

Les and Gina current owners
Founder, Leo the Chef (1958)

Gina and Les are the last in the Cervetti family to operate Luigi’s. They
have been working in the restaurant for more than three decades. Gina is the
daughter of the original owners. The recipes have changed very little since the beginning. Luigi’s prides itself on using only the highest quality
ingredients, and no preservatives in our food. Les and Gina have not,
and will not change what Luigi’s does best. Not changing is the key to
our survival.
We thank all of you for choosing Luigi’s when you dine out. Thank you
for continuing to support the business that my parents built through their
sacrifice, along with the help of family, employees and customers. We
hope Luigi’s will be around for a long time; with your help, we just might
make it! Let’s toast, “Centine….one hundred years!”
